According to the latest data released by the Federal Statistical Office (Destatis), the Housing Index in Germany rose to 21257 points in May 2024, a notable increase from 21167 points recorded in April 2024.

The Housing Index tracks changes in construction prices, real property prices, and residential property price indices, including the house price index and price index for building land. GREIX, a comprehensive indicator of the German real estate market, measures the price fluctuations of residential and commercial properties.
Despite the overall increase in the Housing Index, residential property prices in Germany have been experiencing a slight decline in the first quarter of 2024 compared to the same period last year.
