Games Federation in talks with city over scaled-back offering
Glasgow could step in with a scaled-back offering should no other host be found for the 2026 Commonwealth Games.
The Commonwealth Games Federation (CGF) is in talks with the city about the possibility of hosting the event, after Durban in South Africa pulled out as host in March.
The CGF has said it is "committed to delivering a successful Commonwealth Games in 2026" and is "exploring all options" to ensure that the event takes place.
Glasgow hosted the Commonwealth Games in 2014 and is seen as a strong candidate to step in as host again.
